We've been in house three years now. When we first moved in there where no gardens at all in the back yard, just two cherry trees. The first year we put in gardens all along the perimeter of the left side of the yard and a rock garden in the corner. The rock garden was created from some slabs of cement the previous owners left in one corner of the yard. The gardens are starting to look fantastic.
This year we decided to change the far corner that is mostly shade, and it's one of those quiet areas of the back yard. You know those areas that some how or other has magical moments when you step into them.
This is what the back area looked like before we added a new imitation rock barrier.
